About us
A record warehouse in Corinth, Maine
Maine Record Sales is a mail-order record business: three floors of LPs, cassettes and CDs, most of them sealed, and a lifetime of knowing what is on the shelves.

Dave’s story
David Turbin has dedicated his life to the preservation and celebration of music.
It began as a lifelong pursuit of collecting records, cassettes, and CDs. His collection grew to monumental proportions, earning him a reputation as a true connoisseur of music. From rare vinyl pressings to obscure cassette tapes, his inventory spanned decades of musical history, showcasing the rich tapestry of sounds and styles that have shaped our world.
He transformed his collection into a global phenomenon, offering music lovers from every corner of the globe access to his vast array of albums, both new and old. Whether it is a sealed copy that has waited decades for its buyer or a rare find from years past, David’s meticulous curation ensures that every item in his inventory is a testament to the power of music to inspire, uplift, and unite us all.
Almost daily he ships his beloved records, cassettes, and CDs to music enthusiasts across the country. We hope the warehouse tour gives you a glimpse of the magic.

45+ years
A lifetime in the record business
Maine Record Sales is the business of David Turbin, Dave to everyone, and he has been in the music business for more than 45 years. Today it runs from a three-floor warehouse in Corinth, Maine.
The 45 years is our own figure. Discogs can only vouch for the part since 2006, when we started selling there.

The name on the tour
Screaming Dave's Retro Music Emporium
That is the name the warehouse tour goes out under, and the one on our YouTube channel: records, cassettes and CDs, under one roof and one very loud name. Maine Record Sales is the business behind it, and the name we trade under.

New old stock
Records that were never sold
Most of what we have is new old stock: records, tapes and CDs that were pressed, sealed and shipped decades ago and then never sold. They have sat in their boxes ever since, which is why 99% of what we list is graded Mint.
It is the same record you would have bought new at the time, still in the shrinkwrap it left the factory in.

How it is kept
Every box has a shelf code
A building this size only works if every record can be found again. Shelves and boxes carry location codes, and almost every listing records where its copy sits, so an order can go from the screen to the shelf to the post without anyone hunting.

Online since 2006
